Built in 1995, this beautiful wedding reception venue has no rival. South Perth foreshore is 180-degree views of the city reflecting off the water and sits a mere 30 metres from the shoreline. Breathtaking views and a wedding photographers dream.

Sitting in Sir James Mitchell Park, The Boatshed offers panoramic views with floor to ceiling glass windows and exudes a warm, open air and relaxed but classy dining experience. The staff are friendly and Graeme Millar, the owner, takes great pride in his venue and prefers to be hands on so as everything runs smoothly and efficiently. And lets face it, whenever the boss is around, stuff gets done!

The food is second to none and includes all ingredients being homemade and prepared fresh from the kitchen. Presentation and the ‘romance’ of the food is of the highest quality.

The Boatshed is nowhere near any other venues and quite a long way from residences so sound is really not an issue here. Quite a large dancefloor area with an open plan looking seating arrangement to make use of the most beautiful night time views of our great city of Perth.

From a musicians point of you, I’ve played here several times and have found they run a tight ship. Guests seem to leave happy and the sound, although there’s not a lot of absorption given the hard floors and glass windows, is spread evenly throughout and dissipates nicely through the broad windows.
