Simply one of the best wedding venues in WA. Redcliffe on the Murray is a quintessentially Australian themed reception venue nestled into the beautiful bushland in Pinjarra north of Perth. The main thing that strikes you with this venue is the beauty of it’s outdoor feel. A rustic, classy but casual ambiance is evident as you walk on the richly coloured brick paving that greets you at the front entrance. The Australian bush and its beautiful gumtrees and native flaura and fauna are impossible to ignore on this large property. Beautiful flowing lawns cascade around the grounds and meet a dense green Aussie bush that falls off down a small valley of natural beauty. Perfect for a ceremony and all in the same location as the reception.
From a mere 50 people to a staggering 350 guests can be accommodated here. The food is wonderful and Nicole, the owner, is a very hands on proprietor who likes to see things running smoothly. One of the unique things about this venue is the almost touristy feel of the view over the bush. A verandah has been built that lies atop this area that you can enjoy a beer while looking over, and most notably, a tree top walking bridge. This is a beautiful pedestrian bridge that sits high above the ground below and is absolutely stunning for wedding photography. I’m sure this was built solely for this purpose as it is the photographers first stop after the ceremony.
I have performed here many times and from a musical perspective, should you book in summer, the outdoor sound is second to none. There is something about the acoustics of this outdoor sound that strikes me every time. The stage is also very good. This is brick paved as well and is a raised area in front of the stage that is aesthetically pleasing. So, Redcliffe on the Murray. One of the better wedding reception venues and certainly worth a look.
