PORTOFINO’S RESTAURANT
Situated merely metres from the lapping waves of Quinns beach, Portofino’s is one of the finest beachfront dining venues in WA. Specializing in corporate and wedding functions, this venue is a first class choice for a stylish and elegant wedding reception.
There are two rooms available for hire, The Amalfi, which caters for up to 180 guests, and The Riviera, catering for 70. For those of you with more friends than most, these rooms can be joined to cater for 250 guests as a sit down venue, and even 300 if it’s for a cocktail reception. The 180 degree views of the ocean are unbeatable and it is closer to the ocean than any other venue I have played at. It is literally up to the sand.
The cuisine is very Mediterranean oriented with a choice of ala-carte or set menus, and of course canapes and hot and cold platters. The food is great and there’s always plenty of it going around. There is a big bar and plenty of staff walking around with trays of drinks for your guests.
The dance floor and outdoor area are the clinchers when it comes to this venue. Often venues that can seat this many people, lack the dancefloor space so it becomes crowded. Not here, the floorspace seems never ending and there is also plenty of room for extras like a photobooth etc. You could fit 3 photobooths in there and still have room for everyone on the dancefloor. The space is impressive, but does not seem to feel like it’s too far away from anywhere. The floors are polished marble and the feel of the place is very classy, with a nice sea breeze filling the room so in summer, it is an absolute gem. There is an area right on the beach where people can mingle away from the seated area and the dancefloor. The area at the bar is also large so there is ample room for guests to walk freely around without feeling crowded.
Personally I really like this venue because of it’s proximity to the beach and the space. It’s also a good sound musically. So when you are considering music for your wedding, please consider The Dinner Singer at Portofino’s in Mindarie.
